Wondering what you’re life is missing? If you answered a mobile game and animated series from Avenged Sevenfold, then you’re prayers have been answered! The band announced today, on their Facebook page, that both projects are in the works and even had a trailer for the animated series.
What’s interesting about the cartoon, is that it’s being handled in part by Jon Schnepp. Jon most notably worked with Brendon Small on the Metalocalypse series from Cartoon Network. It doesn’t take more than five seconds of footage to see Schnepp’s style is all over this project. The six part mini-series will feature music from Avenged Sevenfold’s latest album, Hail to the King. Whether or not it will contain the same humor as Metalocalypse had has yet to be determined.
The iOS/Android app, on the other hand, didn’t have anything to show for itself. The band did say it was of the action adventure genre and that it was being designed by Subscience Studios. No release date was given. Although there was mention that the game and animation would go hand in hand with one another.
I’m actually looking forward to the animation itself. As a long time fan of Metalocalypse, In was disappointed to see the series end. Whether or not A7X can hold a candle to Dethklok has yet to be seen. Stay tuned to the Happy Hour and Machinima YouTube pages for more updates.
